I guess I had forgotten, or maybe didn't ever know, that you went to Dartmouth, where I have worked since 2010. FWIW, my 82 year old father is still biking 1000+ miles a year and skiing almost 5 days a week on 2 artificial hips. I hope you have similar quality of life improvement after your surgery.
thank you Carrie! I never get tired of hearing stories about successful hip replacements. And please give my love to the wintry landscape of Hanover and environs!
Love your stuff Molly. I’m an old SLCC Camp Family and Camp Family mom from the late 60s. , retired long time advocate,78 yr old lesbian w 94=yr old wife still active in a CT UCC church and trying not to despair
hi Cathy! (Camp Family) mom to (Camp Family) mom: Don't despair! Our immune system is getting activated and fighting multiple viruses in a beautiful way! And you are resisting in your way, living your love out loud and proud.
“I know lots of things are getting broken right now that will be much harder to repair than my hip. Our world may forever walk with a limp after all that is unfolding.”
Interesting to me how often Hashem’s prophets are called on to speak through their circumstances. Feel better, Prophet. ❤️ You got a lotta’ work to do and feels like this is another big beginning!
Bless you as you enter into the amiable and expert theater of the surgery suite and as you are discharged home this eve (!) on the path toward greater healing and wellbeing! 🙏🫂❤️
Molly, two things. I didn't know you were from Lebanon, NH. I grew up in Exeter. I had two hips replaced in 2024. Now, a year later, I'm glad I did it. The first 3 weeks of the first replacement were hellish, but I got through it. I thought the second surgery would be a breeze since I had experienced it once before. Nope. A suture got infected which was more painful than the surgery, but now that is a distant memory. Do as your told. Take the painkillers. Be faithful in you PT, when the time comes, and heal fast and strong. Fondly, Norm

hi Norm! I'm not from NH--I went to college there. So glad you are far on the other side and restored to full mobility!
Which college? Where are you from originally?
Good Luck Molly looking forward to seeing you dance again at Synod
meet you there! I won't be on stage but we can dance through the halls...
